Wordpress Website/Blog Setup Package

If you’re ready to enter the world of blogging, I can help! Or if you need a simple website that you can control, I can help with that as well! The package below will get you online and blogging no time. Generally, once we get started, your blog should be up and running within just a few days. And remember, whether you plan on blogging or not, a blog-based Wordpress website makes is the most sense. Revisions can be done online, and with the Thesis theme they’re search engine friendly.

Blog setup: $350
This is my fee for setting up the blog, but there are additional charges for your domain and hosting, as well as your blog theme.

Here’s what’s included:

  • Wordpress installation
  • Installation and configuration of the Thesis theme for Wordpress
  • Setting title tags and descriptions
  • Installing Wordpress backup
  • Installation of email subscriber form
  • Technorati account setup
  • Feedburner account and RSS setup
  • Google Analytics account setup
  • Sidebar widgets for your social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Creation of a blog header from your artwork
  • Setup of the home, about, and contact page, and one additional text page.
  • Installation and configuration of the following plugins:
    • Akismet (spam management tool)
    • ShareThis (allows visitors to share your post on other sites and email to friends)
    • Technorati Tag generator
    • Thesis Open Hook
    • Tweetmeme
    • Wordpress database backup
  • A one-hour coaching session on how to use the blog and the Thesis settings.

Additional costs:

Domain name and hosting (approx $100 per year)

Thesis Wordpress Theme – $87 (a one time charge)
Every blog needs a theme, which controls the visual layout. The theme I recommend is Thesis. In addition to the layout, it offers built in SEO features and is highly customizable. Thesis offers much more than most blog themes and is considered to be the best theme on the market. It is considered an industry standard and used by many well-known bloggers.
