Eco – Friendly Merchandise Issue Features Verysupercool

Greetings etc March/April 2008 cover

March 1, 2008 – Greetings etc. features Verysupercool cards in their Eco-Friendly Merchandise issue, their greenest publication to date. Kathy Krassner, Editor-in-Chief, talks about the Green Scene and how “being green can also help your business stay in the black!”

The Card Market segment of the magazine showcased “Green” cards to facilitate retailers who have environmentally conscious consumers. Greeting cards are an inexpensive way for retailers, especially those who are new to the green market, to start carrying green products in their store.

A quote from Shakespeare is printed inside this “Heidi” card ($3.50) from Verysupercool Greeting Cards which uses 100% post consumer waste paper. An eco audit on the companies website shows all the natural resources that were saved as a result.

This is so great! I’m happy to see that Greetings Etc. is taking the eco-friendly products seriously. I know how hard you and Allan worked to make the sustainability part of your business work. It’s working. The cards are beautiful and green as well!

    Hooray!

    love,
    Melissa

Thanks Melissa! Yes, it’s great to see Greetings etc begin to showcase green and sustainable companies. This is a huge step in the right direction for them. My hope is that more greeting card companies will consider the triple bottom line each year, instead of just the bottom line of profits alone. We have a quadruple bottom line here at Verysupercool; People, Planet, Pets and Profit! :)
